Research Interests:
My interests lie in the developmental period of adolescence and the transition to adulthood, and include the etiology and prevention of health risk behaviors focusing on alcohol and other substance use. More specifically, I am interested in the role played by parents and peers in the formation of attitudes and beliefs about and engagement in health risk behaviors. Currently, I am examining the relationship between various parenting styles and practices and adolescent/young adult substance use and consequences utilizing advanced multivariate methods.
